In 1982, French Minister of Culture Jack Lang envisioned an event that would revolutionize the relationship between music and urban space: moving art from theaters to the squares of Paris. This global phenomenon reached Italy thirteen years later, with Naples serving as its debut city.

The documentary reveals that Lang’s vision was actually inspired by the Estate Romana (Roman Summer) created by Renato Nicolini, creating a symbolic circle of cultural influence. Through a mosaic of historical archives and direct testimonies, the film captures the true essence of the festival: a space where genres like jazz, pop, and classical find a common ground for interaction, celebrating cultural identity through collective sharing.
